1. I am an optimist. And I also always try to see things from someone else’s perspective.
2. Art in any form or style is my passion. I draw, paint, photograph, design…anything but play an instrument. I’m musically retarded.
3. When I was 12 my brother got 2 yellow corn snakes. They both escaped and I almost shat myself a week later when I saw one of them slithering around in the vegetable garden.
4. I love being outside. I used to spend all my holidays on my uncle’s farm when I was younger. Camping with my cousins is one of my most favorite and missed memories of my childhood. My family is really into camping.
5. Jack Johnson is one of the most played artists in my music library.
6. I love The Fray. They remind me of my best friend. So does Jack Johnson.
7. Two of my best best friends in the world live almost 7 000km away from me.
8. I love paint balling. I got shot in the face with a paintball once.
9. When I was 8, I got shot in the foot with a bb gun. It hurt like hell.
10. I’m really klutzy. I’ve got more scars on me than I can count. After every school camp, I come home with at least one more. Once I even sat on an invisible chair.
11. Our maid dropped an iron on my foot when I was really young. She then put butter on the burn … (???)
12. I’ve got a round circular scar on the inside of my right wrist from where i tried to burn the fraying ends of my rainbow bracelet at a certain someone’s birthday party. People made jokes after that about how I tried to crucify myself.
13. My best friend from childhood used to have singing competitions on who could sing ‘Titanic’ the best on a tire at school.
14. I miss the Soul Sisters.
15. I’ve unsucessfully tried to learn piano and violin.
16. I love it when my friends write me letters.
17. I’m turning 17 in a week.
18. I miss Safe Cab and the dodgy and hilarious memories and history my best friends and I have made in those ghetto taxis. I miss the ghetto-ness of South Africa, straight up.
19. I can’t wait to graduate from school so that I can backpack and bum around wherever life takes me.
20. Sometimes I wish that I could just sail the world and live on a yacht for the rest of my life.
21. Michael Mount Waldorf School was the most inspiring and fun time of my teenage life so far. I met the most amazing and beautiful people there who have influenced me in so many ways to become the person that I am today. I miss singing Pink Floyd songs in the mornings before every lesson at school with our teacher on guitar. I learned the most about life in those short 6 months at Michael Mount than I did in 8 years at Crawford.
22. I know every single word to ‘pop the glock’ by uffie and ‘hip hop’ by dead prez. I don’t know why.
23. I have this really bad habit of procrastinating.
